straightshooter Posted August 12, 2011 Share Posted August 12, 2011 Hi guys need some advice thinking about swapping my 3.5 for a 4.6 would this bolt straight in? if not what mods are required i have a edelbrock carb on the 3.5 and was hoping I could use this for the 4.6 also what engine auxilliries from the 3.5 could I use? any advice wellcome Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
FridgeFreezer Posted August 12, 2011 Share Posted August 12, 2011 If the 4.6 is complete with auxillaries then use them, they're all much newer than the 3.5. You *can* swap the 3.5 bits onto the 4.6, the crank nose is longer so you need a spacer if you're putting that front end on. I wouldn't put the edelbrock on, if you do it'll need setting up properly but frankly they're rubbish even when they're right - I'd strongly suggest keeping the EFI bits and megasquirting it.
