GBMUD
On behalf of Chelsea Tractor who had a recent 'episode'; On a late Td5 Discovery, what is the correct orientation of the UJ yokes on the main part of the shaft? I.E. are the bearing cap holders on the shaft in the same orientation or 90° out? I get the impression that a quick answer is preferred! GBMUD
the front is the same hope this helps niksorry mine is a 1999 Nik 1, thanks, just the job. As far as I know the prop is getting reassembled. It seems that the front diff input shaft sheared, fell out of the diff and the prop shaft then flailed about and fell apart. Range Rover Blues
The Di/RRC/Defender prop need to "look" out of phase to keep it in phase, it's an unusual instalation. the TD5 prop has one Cardan style joint which is a CV joint, so only the axle end is a non-constant joint. There is no need to align the joints, they should work in any orientation.
