Shrek90
Hi All! The Missus has a 2004 TD4 Freelander with approx 70k on the clock and has a rather annoying problem. Whilst driving along there is a loss of power and the engine management light comes on. If you stop and turn off the ignition and wait for a moment, the light goes out and the vehicle drives perfectly. There is no rhyme or reason as to where and when this happens. I have changed the fuel pump (ouch that was dear!) and fuel filter. All appeared well for a while, but all headed south a short time later. Any help would be gratefully received. Ta for now. reb78
I had exactly the same. I pulled each injector lead and blew it out with compressed air. One of them had a lot of dust in there. Since doing that it hasnt recurred. I did later have to replace all of the turbo hoses as one had holed where it rubbed on the air inlet bolt (great design that!!), but i'm not sure it was related to the above.
