UdderlyOffroad Posted May 12, 2012 Share Posted May 12, 2012 Not a question, more posted for the benefit of others: After struggling like hell to undo the crank damper bolt, I finally figured out that the home-made damper retainer needs to be at least as long as the breaker bar used to undo it. Result engine stable, nut cracked!! May seem obvious in hindsight but really not obvious to me at the time!
