tuskar Posted August 2, 2014 Share Posted August 2, 2014 Hi all, I have a 1995 disco 300tdi and have just done 17k miles over last two years. and not a single problem developed over this time.and just passed MOT also. A lot of heavy towing too. Who would want anything else ? Maybe should not speak too soon.... cant help but praise the old girl.Have many of you people similar story.. Boydie Posted August 3, 2014 Share Posted August 3, 2014 Agreed, my 1998 series 1 Disco has done over 400k kilometers, of which 250k have been in the outback of Oz. I've had a few trials, some of my doing, some by incompetant mechanics but the beast keeps lumbering on regardless, it's by no means fast, top speed arround 120KPH and ideal economic speed is 90 KPH at 2250rpm. It gets a full engine oil and filter change and service every 10,000 kilometers and gearbox and differentials every 30,000, new injectors at 250,000. Look after it and it will look after you.
