rawsondsr
belt was squeeling like a piggy, so replaced it with a new one. no more squeeling. however, there was some smoke coming off it, and pump was rather hot. not siezed, can turn by hand, clicks a bit if i turn it clockwise, not if anticlockwise. how hot should these get? there is not much assistance. Frax
They do get warm after a bit of use but should not get so hot that they smoke. I would change your power steering fluid and see if it gets better - I am sure they have an adjustment on the top but these should never need to get adjusted unless the box is well worn.
