Ben Spray
Hi All Had a search and couldn't find a definite answer on this. I've been offered a good condition TDCI seatbox to use on my 110 rebuild (which is being built as a ROW spec 300tdi ie all TD5 spec bits/wiring/dash etc), should fit fine but I'm just wondering about the tunnel mounting, is the mount area the same ie will a R380 tunnel bolt straight onto it or am I better off looking for a good TD5 seatbox? If I go for the TDCI one are there any other changes that I need to make before I get it painted? Cheers Ben
Disco-Ron
Tdci uses the same mounts at the seat end of the tunnel as the td5. .. and should bolt straight in. The seats are seemingly about 20mm further inboard for some reason. .. Therefore the middle seat might be slightly narrower. Ben Spray
Great thanks, only issue could be then as my 110 is auto and uses the Ashcroft NAS style centre console that it may be a bit tight! will have to measure up and see if I can afford to loose 40mm or so on the centre area Thanks Ben
Disco-Ron
I have one from a 110 going in my 90 with auto. But undecided yet where the shifter is going. ...
