Davey1
Hi all, I recently bought a discovery 2 for use whilst renovating the house. My central locking is playing up and wondered if anyone had any ideas. The key fob locks all doors fine ugh one press, but every door apart from the drivers door has to be opened via the inside. Is this a common problem? Thanks in advance
BogMonster
Sticky locks or burned out central locking actuators, unless there is a circuit fault. The drivers door is on one circuit, the other doors on another, because there is an "anti hijack" unlocking that can be set so the driver's door unlocks with the first press of the button, the other doors only unlock with a further press. I assume you've tried pressing the unlock more than once? If not, try that first! Does anything happen when you try and unlock them with the switch on the dash or do you have to open them manually by pulling the handles? Do the locks "try" to open (clunk/some movement in the button on top of the door) or are they completely dead?
