Kaliboy
Hey guys, Just fitted some 265 75 16 MTs, on Boost Alloys to my Discovery. I've adjusted the steering stop locks by 5mm, thinking this would give a decent enough clearance of the arms, but when I've test driven it the bolts are just too far forward now. Can anyone tell me the best measurement for adjustment? I measured them at 26mm before I fiddled with them and 30mm after. Also, is there supposed to be a locking nut on them? Mine only has a washer and standard nut. Cheers in advance. Matt
Disco-Ron
Jack it. Put the front axle on stands. Swing the wheels fully left and adjust the rh bolt. And visa versa. ... The bolt should just have a skinny nut to lock it.
Kaliboy
Cheers Ron. Just read that the recommended distance is 20mm from the radius arms. That's where I've gone wrong. I've over adjusted on the front and the bolts are passing the flange.
