  1. Try getting a remap. TD5s react well to them and they make a substantial difference. As your's is an early model, it might need a chip soldering rather than just a software remap.
  2. Thanks for the replies, both make sense. These are the ones I was thinking of getting to replace the old spots/work lamps on the rear, that assist the reversing lights. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261995762497?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I also thought they might be better than the current ones on the light bar, which came already fitted, and are controlled by a separate switch to the main headlamps. Yes, I agree they can be distracting when glaring off the bonnet, so repositioning would be a better option, but it was just a thought when I saw them online :-) Matt
  3. Hey guys, I was wondering what everyones' opinions are on the Cree light bars vs several smaller Cree lights? I currently have a standard light bar, consisting of 4 normal hella-esque lights, sitting above the windscreen. As usual, they are starting to get old and need replacing. I have seen a lot of people are fitting the LED light bars, primarily the long single units. Would it be of any loss to just replace my current single lights for individual ones? Cheers Matt

  5. I lived in Shkoder. Well, just outside in a commune called Dobrac. I have family in Hercegnovi in Montenegro. If you went through to Dubrovnik, passed Cavtat, you probably drove through there.
  6. Yes! congratulations! Do you have photos of your journey through Albania and Montenegro? I really miss living there. Cheers, Matt
  7. Wow! I'd love to do this. I think I'm going to really nice to the wife and see if we can do it :-)
  8. That's awesome! I would have loved to do this in my old Lightweight, many moons ago! I've done it in the Discovery since, and it performed faultlessly. As everyone has said, "it's all in the preparation"... though a tad amount of luck helps ;-)
  9. Cheers Ron. Just read that the recommended distance is 20mm from the radius arms. That's where I've gone wrong. I've over adjusted on the front and the bolts are passing the flange.
  10. Hey guys, Just fitted some 265 75 16 MTs, on Boost Alloys to my Discovery. I've adjusted the steering stop locks by 5mm, thinking this would give a decent enough clearance of the arms, but when I've test driven it the bolts are just too far forward now. Can anyone tell me the best measurement for adjustment? I measured them at 26mm before I fiddled with them and 30mm after. Also, is there supposed to be a locking nut on them? Mine only has a washer and standard nut. Cheers in advance. Matt
  11. Hi Matt, Dave Mitchell's landcraft are running an adventure day plus, in bala, on 28th December. However If you're running standard tyres you might find it too difficult. Alternatively check out the low Rangers (ellabarto) on YouTube. They have covered some great stuff in Wales. HTH Matt
  12. Do we get to see all the photos of this amazing trip? Until our new one is born (and we get more cash) we have to live our adventures through you! Matt
  13. This is so not good for my itchy feet.... Both of us are gagging to get away. Over the past year there have been so many references to Norway. I think the Norse gods are calling.... haha! As soon as the little one is born, I think we are planning a road trip!
  14. Subscribed. Things like this inspire me. Me and the mrs have such itchy feet at the moment!
