Paul Posted November 20, 2006 Share Posted November 20, 2006 Unfortunately due to the increasing popularity of the LR4x4 forum, it has recently come under attack by spammers and automatic "spam-bots" who have been posting some material which users would find objectionable to say the least, as well as regular spam. For the time being, anybody registering as a new user will have to validate via an email address and then be approved by one of the Admins, and any initial posts they make will be subject to moderator approval before they appear on the site. For a new user this means they may have to wait 24 hours or so to be approved and then their first posts approved by a moderator before this restriction is removed and they can post freely. We will endeavour to approve posts as quickly as possible but many of us do not sit at a PC all day so we ask for your patience on this. We apologise for this inconvenience and a better solution will be implemented soon. Please don't let it put you off registering, its being done for a good reason. None of this applies to regular (already registered) users or anybody that has been with us for a little while. A discussion on the current problems can be found here on the International forum.
