Hi all,

I'm looking for some help with my 2004 disco 2, it kept cutting out after driving about 2 miles and was hard to start, I changed to fuel pump in the tank, fitted new silicone hoses, done a full service and then when that didn't work I done the injector seals and copper washers. The disco is still hard to start very chuggy and sits about 300 revs for a couple of minutes then idles at 900 revs. When driving the disco it is very sluggish to pull away from junctions, roundabouts ect but once up to 40 plus mph it goes fine. Any help would be much appreciated thanks again.

Hi,

There is an air bleed valve in the fuel filter housing that can cause problems, especially if you have had to do the copper injector washers, as these allow muck into the fuel system which can clog this filter. Try searching this for the symptoms.

HTH,

Griff
