Filter box fitting

Recommended Posts

Iv acquired a discovery 300tdi air filter box for use in my 300tdi/lt77 conversion. Just wondering if anyone has used this filter box in there vehicle and how did you mount it. Pictures would be very helpful. Cheers

Hi Ian, I used the same on a 300tdi/lt77 conversion. It's connected using the standard 300tdi disco pipework also. The inlet on the front is now connected to the snorkel but it seems to work well. Let me know if you would like some more pictures?

Afraid this is the only other picture I could find but hopefully a bit clearer. As you are looking at it, there is a 90* shelving bracket that is bolted to the right side of the filter box and the upper face of the inner wing. There is also a small diagonal bar that goes down at 45* from the bottom left of the filter box to the horizontal part of the inner wing. All the little holes were filled with rivets/silicon at the same time.

I used the Disco 300Tdi pipework from turbo to airbox then fitted the brackets and drilled holes dependent on where the filter housing sat once piped up.

Hope that helps, Harry
