Ole Martin Huseby
Hello Keith. I saw Your problem on the petrol tank strap. I,m having the same problem on my 2002 Freelander V6 , im changing to a New engine and when i was under the car i saw that the strap or cradle around the petrol tank was rusted away . We have a Cold and long Winter i Norway so rust is a big problem on most cars over here. Bought this car because the previous owner didnt want to repair after engine breakdown, so i got it ultra cheap and loving it. I have been searching on several pages in England for a used one , but it have not been easy to find . If you could share Your experience With me i would be geatful but i know there is a lot of work to get the tank Down . Best regards Ole Martin
FridgeFreezer
Don't think it's too hard, the RAVE manual would tell all. Plenty of breakers on ebay who'd likely sell you a strap, I couldn't give my old tank + strap away for free at Sodbury, cut it up & skipped it in the end.
