Rear washer

If it's a Discovery 2 you need to take the rear door car off. Behind it once you trace the washer pipe you'll find a tiny inline valve in it. This is the one way valve that stops the water running back down the pipe when not in use - it's just there to make sure the water comes out of the washer instantaneously when you press the button.

They go bad and stop the water altogether. I wasn't bothered ordering a new one so took a small drill bit and drilled through the valve and replaced the body in the pipe.

Hope that helps.

...or, as in my Disco 1, the pipe and jet at the rear pillar just parted company somehow. Every time I pushed the "wash" button, the water just filled the rear quarter until it found one of the many holes to fall out of!
