rusty_wingnut
So i'm looking to fit some before they go bang. I've never done this job on a coiler, so i 'll have a hunt in the archive and find a guide. My question is, can anyone reccomend a particular brand of CV, or somewhere to buy from? My truck has 235 tyres so i guess a standard duty will suffice. 1996 defender 90.
Orange
A standard duty CV will suffice. I think they are GKN. Bearmach stock GKN ones. Can't remember what the price is... Depending on their condition, this is the type of job that you may like to consider replacing swivel/hub oil seals and wheel bearings while you've got it all apart.... GKN model (TDJ000010) = GBP96 + vat for gkn IIRC, they do a tdj000010r which is much cheaper but isnt britpart. Was there yesterday and bought one !
