What do you feel is the best paint to go a freshly cleaned chassis to hold back the dreaded rust for a while at least, is the spray 'Shulz stuff with Waxoyl' in spray cans the way to go? Or Smoothrite black? thanks again.

Rear headling in my 90 station wagon is sagging worse than Nora Batties tights- excuse the image, how do I get it to go back nearer to the roof- partic. around the alpine lights?. also what is good to clean it while it is in situ? Thanks again.

Changed the gearbox oil on my 200tdi 90( LT 77S ) and out jumped a bit of what apparantly is 2nd gear synchro- app. 2ins. long peice. Can anyone tell me please that this aint as bad/ expensive as it sounds?- changes down ok still.

Ordered a new clip for my side, sliding window on my 90 stat. wagon- was sent sone which looked very different- one ive seen used in the back window of new truck cabs. So, sent it back with picture of mine required. However , they say this aint an original clip and cant replace- please see photo: anyone any ideas as to who it is made by and whether I can get another- the part that locks in has snapped off. A single screw goes into it to attach to other side, puzzling me.

Anyway. got some Pioneer G1010's now in the front which are good and put some big oval 'Fli' speakers into a pair of old Toshiba home speaker boxes- easily modified and not too big, these give the better bass as suggested. Just need to decide where to fix em in the back now, got yards of cable so no prob. but not that much room in a 90- with bench seats and seatbelts in the back- still, good progress today anyway.

Need to get some new 4ins speakers for the front dash of my 90. Any recomendations?, the stereo is a reasonable Pioneer with cd changer, what I want needs to be robust and good - not all space age and looks! By the way, what is the difference between co-axial and dual cone for sound quality?It was much easier in the 70's and 80's buying radios and stuff, confuses me now . Thanks again.

The sliding windies in the back of my 90 s.wagon are secured by the standard plastic, peg type clips.As the window slides on the outside of the fixed window I was wondering how to improve security as the pegs seem easy to break? Anyone fitted anything extra? Thanks in advance.

I have just bought a 200 tdi Defender 90, 1991 and as part of getting the insurance cheaper i have to join a Landrover owners club- but which one?- any reccomendations please, I live in Bristol by the way, Used to be in the series 2 club which was ideal when I had my 2A but not a lot of good for a 90.
