  1. We are looking for a number of Marshals to help us with our winch challenge events The Clubman Challenge www.clubmanchallenge.co.uk Series to be held at the following locations :- Round 1 Holymoorisde Derbyshire 18th April 2010 Round 2 TBC 16th May 2010 Round 3 Mow Cop Staffordshire 24th October 2010 Round 4 Buildwas Nr Ironbridge,Shropshire 21st November 2010 The events run 10:00 till 16:00 and there are 40 punches laid out on the venue, the competitors have punch cards on both sides of the vehicle so that amounts to 80 punches for the days competition. What we need help with is people to watch the sections and help run the special stages. In return you will get the best position in the house for watching the event and get to see the action first hand. We cant offer you a days off road driving but we can offer you the chance to see some of the top challenge competitors taking part in 4 challenge evets. If you would like to help please email Matt on the following linkEmail Matt to see some of the photos from last years events click here Please note that you will be helping with a motorsport event
  2. he hasnt got a vehilce at the moment? he sold his last one, he still winches for people as and when required
  3. Entries we have had for The Clubman Challenge so far are aas detailed on the following list. The Clubman Challenge Entry List So Far If your name is not on the list and you intend taking part in the event.
  4. Eric has returned from holiday so we will update you with an entry list so far in a day or so.
  5. Dan can you contact me via email as I dont seem to have it, mt@badlrc.co.uk thanks Matt

  6. Yes you will need an MSA Competition Licence for all challenge events run under an MSA permit for 2010, Please go to theThe Clubman Challenge Website www.clubmanchallenge.co.uk and go to the Licence page and read the instructions on there and follow the link to the MSA wesbite and apply for it online ASAP
  7. Please make sure that your send your entry forms off ASAP as we will be publishing and entry list very soon.
  8. Thanks Mate, If you need any help let me know, although there is help online, details are on The Clubman Website stating what type of licence you need.
  9. Sorry yes I forgot to mention that bit, If they have never held one before that is the process, If suspended etc they would need to contact the MSA licence department, however if they turn up at the event and use fraudulent to compete on the day, that would then be a licencing department issue to resolve also. Don't forget to take failure to produce competition licence forms to the event!
  10. Yes its that easy as long as you haven't ever been refused one or had one taken off you for being naughty
  11. Not a problem any competitor without a licence fills out the correct form attaches a passport size photo, hands it in at signing on with the correct fee £23, this can be accepted at the event in lieu of a licence being issued to the competitor, and the club comp sec sends it in with the event permit payment signing on sheets etc. The licence is the dispatched to the competitor in due course.
  12. Boothy when I asked the question how come the competition licence, I was told is was the decision of the cross country committe that had been looking at challenge events during 2009, and because the way the events are going and the amount of events held, they came to this decsision. Its is my understanding that it is the event that is insured by the MSA, by running to their rules and regulations they insure the event, and issue us with a permit to allow motor sport to take place on private property etc. In order that everybody can be correctly informed I will ask the question why the licence is required and report back the outcome on here Monday PM
  13. If we stop and think, anybody that has been doing Time Trial's, Team Recovery, Comp Safari's will have had a competition licence for donkeys years, and if you wanted to join them you would have to follow suit and apply for a competition licence and nobody would bat an eye lid. These days there are probably more challenge events held than any of the above speed type events, its is because of the scope of what can be incorporated into the events these days that the competition licence has been introduced to the challenge event.
  14. If the event SR's allow either crew member to drive, then both members of the crew will require a competition Licence should the winch person want to drive during the event.
  15. Neil I will send you the email I got from the MSA, I was surprised to say the least
  16. Barney, If everybody dose as they said they would and post us an entry form we will have a nice sized list to publish shortly. One thing that has been bought to my attention today by the MSA is as follows:- All Challenge competitors competing in 2010 will require an MSA Clubman's Competition Licence at the cost of £23 (for a licence valid for 12 months) If your co driver (winch man) normally drives at some point during the event he will require one also, but if he normally winches for you all day then he will just need his club membership card I will update The Clubman Challenge website to this effect with the required MSA application form shortly. Those of you doing the XTC will of course have this in hand already
  17. Thank you to those of you that have sent forms in already, those of you that haven't done it yet please get your forms to us ASAP please, thanks guys
  18. Your are more than welcome to do any of them as and when your diary allows all the details are on the event wesbite, we are currently looking at some new sites that hopefully will get sorted in time for this years calendar.
  19. Thanks Nick that would be great, anybody from your club or neck of the woods would be most welcome also, Barney might do one later on in the year
  20. How could we forget about you Boothy, have you heard from the superstars other friends
