I did the dipper arm ram on my mini digger. Took the ram apart and took it to the local bearing/engineering suppliers who ordered me in the correct seals. It wasn’t a hard job, biggest problem was cracking the nut on the ram itself. It took a blow torch and a 3/4 breaker bar with a tube on it.

I just used the tip of my blow gun on the gauge set. Got about 90 psi into the system.

Have a look at the trailer plug. Have seen them do strange things to lights

Many thanks I’ll take a look

Thank you all for the advice.
The rod doesn’t look pitted, I think it’s an age thing as the machine is about 20 years old.

I’ve got a Bobcat mini digger that the seals on one of the rams has started to leak.
Can anyone offer any advice on resealing a hydraulic cylinder, is there anything to watch out for.
Obviously making sure things are clean, are going to be high on the agenda.
Many thanks

I’m a big fan of the Cooper ST maxx, they did well on a very soggy comp field I was marshalling on.

12volt led work light and a car battery or I’ve seen an 12volt work light screwed to a spare drill battery charger and all the bits taken out and the prongs used to power the light from a drill battery.

Have a look at the Cooper ST maxx. A nice all terrain tyre.

Cheers for that

It’s that time again when I need a couple of new tyres.
im currently running 235 85 R 16 STT’s but was thinking of changing to the ST Maxx. They remind me of the old BFG Trac Edge.
Is anyone running a set and how do you rate them. I spend most of my time on road but do tow large trailers across fields.
cheers

I think rent free is the future. Mine is BOC. Darren thinks Argon is a bit splattery on Mig, but I can't run two.
There's a Hobbyweld stockist in Leek that does rent free gas.

Morning all,
I've taken the JATE rings off my old 110 and fitted them to the front of the TD5. The rings are (at a guess) about 5mm wider total than the chassis.
I've also got another set for the rear, and there's a much bigger gap. I haven't measured it, but at a guess it's > 10mm total.
Given that having the ring wider than the chassis rail imposes much more of a bending force on the bolt, how much is acceptable? Would packing the gap help or no?
Cheers!
Use the lashing eye to pack the JATE ring out so it fits snugly to the chassis.

Hi,
I'm looking at getting a raptor dash as they do look great. The question I have, is how does the CB fit in there. I have nothing with my CB that would keep it in place. Do you get a bracket of perhaps an insert like with the stereo??
cheers
Dave
Dave,
I got a DIN mount bracket from Thunderpole for my CB. It fits in the radio slot on the front of my Mobile Storage System Cubby Box.

I've got to pairs of these from Halfords
I have cut the ends off one set & put Anderson Connectors on & cut the other set a meter back from the end & put on another couple of Andersons. This gives me 9 Mtrs of lead that I can use in different combinations.
Ive used these for Jump Starting a fiends Horse Lorry.
