err ive just looked at the log book for my SWB S2A and it says 3499kg
and in the notes it says
anyone done this all ready and how do i go about changing it?
ive tryed moving the rad but i can only move it about an inch as the bottom hits the front cross member, ive junked the viscus fan and got an electric already but even after all this ive still only got about 1/4 of an inch between the pump and the rad
how badly out of line? (will it work and get me back on the road?)
mine might be an odd pump because the only way to cut the nose would remove the flange that the pully attaches to
thanks for the answers A Jackson
Right this simple job is turning into a right pain
With the RR water pump I cannot fit the rad as it hits the matrix, so im told I need a rover p6 pump and pulley but I’ve also been told that I may need a p6 crank pulley is this right? (If the alignment is different the alternator must also be out of line?)
Ive also heard of people 'grinding down' a RR pump to fit is this right and if it is how do you do it?
Thanks A Jackson
Im now going to go and stare at the engine again....
good luck, a mate of mine put his kit-car (cobra) through an SVA
cheak that there is nothing sticking out of the sides (like bolt heads) as even they need to be recessed or rounded
good luck
i've got a set of steel disco rims for my S11a, to get a better offset they want their centers cutting out, reversing and
re-welding
im not even going to attempt this, is there a copmany out there that will do it?
thanks
