HI GUYS for future use, if anyone has to fit one of the dashboard kits, what to do is use a small power driver with a flexi extension. this will spin the screws fast enough to heat the plastic and cut through. Also lets you get the screws in between the binnacle and the windscreen. easy job and worth every penny. I was given a tip by a former LR foreman mechanic to leave the engine running for about 20 minutes with the expansion tank cap off. this will help to eliminate air. But keep an eye on level in header tank while doing this. cheers Jim A 1996 300Tdi auto(Jap reimport)

Hi, a trick i was shown and use on my 1996 300Tdi auto is to tape down the dipstick onto the tube. was given this by an old land rover owner. keeps the dipstick in place. cheers Jim A.
