Take it easy, all the best for your recovery and get well soon !!

Hi there,
Is it a soft top ??? I find they can be prone to exhaust getting in ... nothing else helpful to add tho ( :
Good luck sorting it !

Zut ! My go-to for this kinda stuff is to remove, clean/lightly sand etc., and replace all chassis/gearbox/engine earths + the main battery connections & earth lead. Cheaper and quicker than anything else, plus seems like a good way to start fault-finding
Bon courage, bonne année et bonne route

If that doesn't work, run 200ml of two stroke oil per tank for a few months
I was talking to an old-school Bosch pump rebuilder in Germany t'other day and he also recommended 1% cheap engine oil with every fill .... Think I might do this ...

Dude, everybody's clearly delighted to 'see' you recovered and back here - all the best to you and yr family for the future !!!!

It fits snug (but only to the sheet ally !!) right up in the corners just exactly like @stevebus says. You also have to cut a larger hole in the body cappings for the main hoop to fit....

+1 for Haix - once you get used to the thick soles !

Strange how things go.... I've got a truck with a bosch EP/VA pump that's started leaking from the shaft... I know they're not the same pump, but I bet they are really really similar... reading this made my mind up - I've just ordered the seal kit . Thanks Simon and others for reminding me that diy is the best route (usually!)

Bonjour,
Each city sets its own rules, so what happens in Rouen stays in Rouen.
I'll be going in and out of Toulouse several times over the coming days in vehicles that are banned from the LEZ - nobody will check, complain or fine me.
Perhaps Rouen is the same ?

Like Western-guru I have also got my loom outside in convoluted tube. What I like best is the confidence there won't be weird shorts/blown fuses where the barely protected loom rubs through on sharp bits somewhere inside the chassis...

And... as you can see from Miketomcat's photo, above, you hardly need to raise the back end at all, only a tiny bit. It's the front shock towers that are the high point for rolling the chassis in and out... Go for it...

That's something we all love to hear... "shrink and go " sounds great. Congrats

that looks like a thatched roof. What a nice space!
I was thinking exactly that too !

I have Camozzi fittings too - they cost me just over 2€ each with the vat. It's much better to get the swivel ones, not the fixed ones on the GL site, as this makes it way easier to remove for maintenance, pipe re-routing etc. FYI, if it isn't obvious, the standard LR tube is 6mm and pushes straight in

There are specific bolts for mounting the hard sides onto the tub which run through the short vertical tubes in the capping
Hi there,
IFAIK there are also special washers for these that have offset slots (or something like that) in them for fine-tuning yer panels....

Hi,
You need some bushes There should be two in total at the bottom of each damper: one on either side of the spring plate thing. The part no. is 552818 .... good luck !

I'm guessing - no 12j to hand - that it's an overflow kinda thing that should have a short piece of hose attached to route any coolant out, down and away ...

i've got one with a DB slider on a 110 - they stick out a bit so make a much better rear step than the DB pintle shown . Only comment really would be to double-check the hole pattern before ordering!

I've never met George but do know of him cos he has/had a place nearby. Quite a few Brits have used him and I've never heard a complaint.

If you end up wanting a staging post (or Fr language help)? 50 mins north of toulouse, just ask

Congrats, I bet you're well chuffed, that looks tidy

I formed the (perhaps mistaken) idea that some were coming from Otokar in Turkey ??

I know of and have occasionally used Landypoint.fr - long-standing knowledgeable specialists who do triumph + jag too . You'd think that maybe Spain (cos of Santana etc.) might offer some options ?
Now that Br*xit's been done, UK-based suppliers are suddenly last-choice for EU-based private (+trade??) buyers coz costs, especially for smaller orders, have skyrocketed. Shame really, but that's what people apparently wanted ...
Indicators fail - both sides. 1986 110. Holding up my first MOT after 8 year rebuild... Can anyone help please :-)
