  3. i have just fitted a safari snorkel to my defender(fantastic snorkel realy good quality) and mine came with everything i needed to fit it(except someone to fit it!!!!) it took me just under an hour real nice snorkel thanks jack
  4. hi guys me AGAIN!(mr annoying!) i am planning to fit twin shocks to the front of my 90, ivej ust got the 2" lowered twin shock mounts, and the lower mount to accompany it. at the moment i onlywant to be running a single shock setup, i just want the mount there for when im ready for the real deal! is it ok to use the twin mount as a single???? please say yes!!!! my setup is: +2" britpart springs +2" pro-comp shocks -2" rear shock mounts -2" front shock mounts(meant for a twin shock!) + dislocation cones all round so guys have i done it yeat again lol ??? thanks allot jack

  6. its not that hard ive just started bidding on an auto box etc to fit to my defender, im only 18!, its realy not all that hard! it would certainly be cheaper than the v8 90 auto! thanks jack

  9. thanks allot m8 ive done full service allready, new battery, blled and check brake wear(disc lil bit worn!), all shock replace and all suspension upgraded!(spent too much lol) and what are the main bearing i should be checking? ive been havin a small isue on the transmission, its not maijor but its a tiny bit tricky to get revers any ideas? thanks jack
  10. hi guys im new to the forum(realy great stuff!) first problem.! my question is, i have a 1996 defender 300tdi i paid £1100 pounds for it(spent allot more since!) with 197k on the clock! starts on the ket first time every time! but the engine is very tappitty!(technical term!) i have tried simply adjusting the tapperts etc, but it is still very bad. i have been considering replacing the engine with a 200tdi auto unit?, is replacement a bit drastic? should i be considering a rebuild first? new head? and shells?----whaaaaat?!?!?! help lol second problem/question. could some one please offer a few ideas, a check list if u like,of things for for me to check out, bearings?, belts?, shafts, transmission,engine! etc, etc, ! I keep spending money on upgrades and not on things that could actually need doing! thanks allot for your time jack.
