  1. Yeah Simonr, their diagram is quite poor, and their instructions even more vague. I appreciate your comments... could the middle small terminal SI connect (starting isolation) go to the red/white (trigger) wire on the starter? if i understand correctly, the middle connector is to temporarily isolate the accessory battery during cranking, when the battery switch is set to "combined batteries".
  2. unfortunately there are no instructions regarding the connection of the start battery to the alternator...I assume the B+ terminal connection would make the most sense. bit of a dumb question I suppose, but in the factory setup (single battery), why is the alternator wired to the battery +ve via the starter motor (i.e. brown wire from Alternator B+ terminal to Starter then to battery +ve) and not as a second separate line? is it because it is a redundant connection? I liked the X-eng setup, but I purchased the blue sea setup because it was at a shop next door. thanks for your input, Ken
  3. just bought a Blue Sea automatic charge relay (ACR) for a dual battery setup. I am a bit confused by the schematic...the connection of the starter to the battery switch I understand, but the connection from the alternator to the start battery +ve is not clear to me. is this in addition to the connection of battery to alternator via existing harness? Thanks for any input, Ken sorry wrong schematic... here's the correct one
  4. I am having a great time learning from this forum about wiring auxilary circuits , dual battery setups etc. What I would like to have some help with is on wiring in a lot of LED interior lights (8) in my 110. (This is a work vehicle that I use at night quite frequently). 1. Should I put these in as a separate circuit, or can I tie them into the existing circuit? 2. The vehicle is apart and I am trying to figure out the existing circuit...is the door switch wired in parallel with the interior light switch? I have a purple blue wire and a black slate wire running from the switch...purple blue goes to door switch, what is the black slate?
  5. just an add on question, running without the dim dip unit:when my side lights and/or headlights are on, my fog lamps are always on (even with the fog lamp switch disconnected)????any ideas?
  6. thanks for the great info...the headlights seem to work fine main and dip without it so I guess I'll run without it. Ken
  7. I have removed my main harness from my 92 200tdi 110 and somehow misplaced a "black box" that is fitted behind the speedo and gauges. a white connector with headlamp wires and power wires connects to the box. what is the box...relay? or? thanks for any help
  8. Hello all, I just put an International 2.8L TGV engine in my 1987 110 and love it. Now my friend wants one for his truck. Since this engine isn't common in North America I am having a hard time finding info for other vehicle transplants (i.e. Ford F 150) Does the engine mate up to a Ford F150 tranny (which is a mazda tranny if I'm not mistaken) or is an adapter is needed? (I know this is a LR forum, but I can't seem to find this info anywhere else) Thanks for any info, Ken
