  1. Hello One the rear air bags decided to pop at 5 oclock in the morning on Thursday. I have bought a new one and fitted it today. Went on nee bother was quite easy.... the problem is the new bag has inflated more than the bag on the other side of the car - making it unlevel. When i i lift the rear suspension both side raise still leaving the car unlevel. So my near side is a little lower than normal - and my off side is constantly high. We have emptied all the air out 3 times now and still getting no-where ! now theres a wonkey disco looking at me though my window ------ help !!! thanks !
  2. Hello there I have recently bought a T reg TD5, well aware that the sunroof has a leak. NOt quite sure which one it is. Took it to local stratstone they said £250 to strip head lining and water test the roof. I get a call saying they found the glass roof had been bonded to the rubber seal, then forced open tearing the rubber seal. Then quoted me £700 to get a new sunroof and fit on top of the £250. Is that the normal rate ?? anybody had similar problem ?? Robbing b********ds any body managed to fix this problem a lot cheaper ?? manual sunroofs bog standard ! Many thanks in advance ! Tall Paul
  3. I think i will check the multiplugs beside the drivers foot well again. what do you think about running a wire from the positive terminal of te starter motor to the fuel soleniod ? should allow voltage when i turn my key and should stop the voltage when i turn the key back then again will the positive on the starter have a constant supply of 12v ?? it wont will it because the starter will be engaged all the time if it was constant. ..... mmmm ??
  4. I thought the other end went directly to the spider unit ???
  5. Hello all !! I was at asda in my 300 tdi disco 96 plate and came out with the shopping, loaded the disco up and it just did not want to play at all. After 2 hours i gave up and got a pull home. After much investigating I found that the voltage to the Fuel Soleniod is not 12 v its only getting about 6 volts. When i runn a wirefrom me battery directly to the soleniod the fuel is back and the engine runs. I was going to leave this wire in place and fit a switch but then i realised that i can not stop the engine with out flicking the switch off. I would rather wire to a switched wire all ready in place. I tried to go off the cigarette lighter as this id dead when no keys are in, but has power when key turned - but the voltage was not high enough - when i cranked the engine the voltage droped completely away no power. Does any body have any ideas where i can pick up an switched live, preferbly in the engnie bay, that will have enough voltage to open the soleniod then cut the power when i remove the key ? Many thanks in advance Paul
  6. Cheers for the help much appreciated ! Paul
  7. Hi there will a 200 tdi down pipe - with no cat fit on to my 300tdi 96 plate disco ??? i want to replace my cat to get more power many thanks paul
  8. I have had a similar problem in the past - it may have something to do with the spider no ignition lights as though the disco is imobilised - I believe this is something to do with the ignition wiring, one minute its fine then the next time you tturn the key but get nothing it has happened to me but a few turns later luckily for me it has started. Apparantly you can by pass the spider to stop this problem from happening again - i havent yet but if it happens again i may consider it.
  9. We supply all kinds of bulbs to the trade - but there are no bulbs that have twin elements for the head lights. Unless like you say you can make something your self (never seen them do that on blue peter like !) then purchasing new spots with side lights built in is the only way. The side lights are normally LED. Our supplier for spots is Ring. I think the Navigators are what your looking for - will quite happily get a price for you if required. Good luck !
  10. Pajero or Shogun ?? I prefer Land rover all day long but still an option !! My dad had a frontera and I was ok for head room and I am 6 foot 6, but then again my Disco has plenty of room too.
  11. Plenty of wind and rain down here in Newcastle - but no snow !! Not yet any way !
  12. If thats the length of the dog's lead .......... HOW BIG IS THE DOG ???????
