  1. hi hope all is well with you guys,ok i have a question,,im getting a 12k(5.5 tons),winch and a winch tray,(square with a fairlead cut out slot).and i want to use the standard bumper nudge bar,as im not keen on the winch bumpers,ok,,is it just a case of welding the tray onto top of bumper/nudge bar?(as ive seen on defenders),or cutting the top section of the bumper/nudge bar out and sinking the tray in that way?..any help would be great, and pictures of this done even better!..cheers guys..all the best..wayne.
  2. hi,i had low an flat battery probs for a while, then my battery light stuck on,it was a shorting alternator in the end, changed it ,and havent had a flat battery or the warning light being stuck on since..
  3. hi all,,i usualy accelerate to push a good wave in front of me as rule of thumb, plus i do loads of very deep river crossings(see my you tube vids)..the rangie is very water proofed, dizzy, snorkel,,all connectors and blocks water tight, lights, coil, anti spray plate for alternator, air box, ecu's in a box full wading kit e.t.c...ive had her in in water to the windscreen!! and kept on going!as lots of members of my 4x4 club have seen ..shes also fully undersealed,,i mean around a inch thick,as i spend a lot of time in water,(4 inch lift and simex clawed 265's help too)hope this answers questions e.t.c...chees wayne.

  13. ok hi,new joint has turned up today,ok just soaked all the bolts in wd40 and would just like to know the procedure to remove it from the rangie, theres the bolts that go through the arms into joint i can see them, but how much of the unit has to come off?..does it just disconnect from the big shock,or come off with it?or do the arms with it have to come off too,as in one large unit?..sorry for being a pain, but dont want to get it all wrong just to rebuild it all again.or to remove a bolt to have it spring up and give me a fright!..thanks a lot ..wayne.

  18. hi again,ok my new ball joint should be here next 2 days or so,paid 10 pound for a brand new one,ok im gonna try an remove the old one and refit the new one myself,i have a compressor and an air chisle/puncher too,,was thinking if i took the carrier off then used the air puncher i could get the old one out, instead of using hammers e.t.c,and lots of swearing like as been said,,ahha,so refiting the new joint will have to be greased and lined up with the 2 bolt holes yes?..then i was thinking of using the air punch the push it back in..sound good to you guys??..thanks...wayne.
