  1. That's exactly what I'm missing haha I'm in the process of sourcing the right one so fingers crossed she'll be up and running next week!
  2. Quick one hopefully. How do I mate the 6 bolt drive from the crank to the 4 bolt flex plate and flywheel assembly on the range rover gearbox? You'll have to excuse my ignorance of the setup
  3. My first attendance of a Howlin' Wolf event on Sunday, certainly a test of fitness making progress to check out all the action. Here's some pictures I managed to take! LINK Al
  4. Hi everyone, Basically after scratching my head as much as I can and asking my buddies I've hit a wall with my engine transfer. I have swapped over basically everything (3.9 engine and autobox) from the donor EFi Range Rover to the 90 (previously a factory V8) and reused or integrated the necessary bits of the loom from both vehicles. The problem is the main connector (white) found in the footwell of the range rover has seven cables connected and I've been told I need four. I know I need a live, switch live, ground, etc but what is what on the plug, and what can I afford to lose without doing some serious damage? Looking through pages and pages of wiring diagrams hasn't helped thus far so I'm reaching out! A little long winded perhaps but hopefully some V8 wizard here can help me out Cheers, Al
  5. This is giving me a few headaches. I've got everything bar the in-cab selector to do the job, but I'm struggling to find a complete assembly from a RRC to marry up to the box. Is it possible to use the stick from another model or even some aftermarket US system, without too much modification. After all, it's only a cable operated thing isn't it?
  6. The engine currently runs with a Motec system, which has been setup for pure flat out performance and massively overfuels when at idle, to the point where the car is flooded. Unfortunately the system was fitted in '91 and the parts even Motec admit are impossible to find for me to interface with the unit and adjust mixtures. Otherwise I'd be quite happy sticking the auto straight on!
  7. Hi all, I've lined up an engine to go in my 90 but I need help with the transfer and gearbox. I want to use the truck for challenge type events, and would really appreciate advice on the running gear every one uses? Cheers, Al
  8. What problems have you found with that?
  9. Awesome! *begins the head scratching*
  10. Excuse my ignorance, but what chassis is it? I'm toying with the idea of stretching my 90 once I begin the trayback process, but don't know if it's doable on my current setup and I may need a new galvy unit! Cheers, Al
  11. Has anybody every fitted or adapted a system like the Foers mid mount into a Defender?
  12. I was flicking through some of my old man's old LRe mags and saw the write up they did on the Ogden Defender in 2003, prompting me to give it a search I'm after a challenge solution for my 90 and was thinking air was the way to go after what I read. What kind of ball park cost is there for the entire system? I'm relatively handy with electronics so that's not really an issue either. Is it reliable enough to use on the challenge spec truck I'm building, as I know there is a lot of mistrust surrounding their use on vehicles. Cheers, Al
