Got home from work yesterday and noticed that the front tyre ns was flat got my compressor out and reinflated tyre ran engine for a couple of minutes as comp runs off cig socket got up this morning checked oil and water levels and washer bottle as going away later today for weekend then checked fuess noticed there is a 15 amp that has popped anyway came to drive it to work will turn over but wont fire a could it be I did not put enough back in battery using compressor last night and battery has not got enough to start engine or could the fuse be the problem? i can still go away as I can use my audi which is main car just smaller boot space any ideas cheers Lee

  3. my v8 3.9 0n a 95 is fitted with lpg but its got a K&N air filter induction filter on it dont seem to have any hose problems cheers lee

Hi Mate i'm no welder but again got a mate who is and althougth I have only just bought a disco he did a lot of welding on my Suzuki deal I had with him one he do me a favour I would do him one back and I paid for the metal required I know both paddocks and mm 4x4 do all the panels mentioned if you look on both websites you would be able to decide who has best price if you decide the tdi is scrap then you could try and break it engine axles boxes lights wheels seats doors tailgate etc all worth money personally I would keep it and get it done regards Lee

  6. well now got me 265/75 on fill the arches nicely got to a camel cut and bumper end caps steering stops and think extended bump stops may be way to go althougth still thinking on this one at present cheers Lee
  7. guy opened bonnet but he moved round the car that fast I did not see where the catch was thats why I did not know how to open it teach me to stick to their tale next time i buy a truck regards Lee

  9. now got me 265/75 bfg's on my Disco running on standard suspension read the thread that arches need cutting and end caps need trimming which I can do no problem can someone show me how to adjust the steering stops being new to lr's aint got a clue what the steering stops are sorry if this sounds daft but the tyres are screeeching on full lock cheers lee
  10. well there is no bonnet pull cable found the grommet in the bulkhead but no cable after another search found a metal bracket attached to the mechanism which you push and hey presto bonnet pops up must of been an improtu mod at some point cheers Lee
  11. bought a n reg disco es v8 on Sunday night going to go away at weekend went to pop the bonnet and check oil and water but I can't find a bonnet pull cable anywhere in fact a work mate had a look with me over dinner today no pull I would assume that it has broken so my question is how do I get the bonnet open? I think I may be able to get the grill off(maybe) but then what? cheers Lee
  12. sorry dont mean to hijack this post just bought a v8 disco last night wth lpg and the guy gave me a set of 265/75 bfg muds need putting on the rims to go with it they are part worn but have found the chart guide very usefull only going to use mild greenlaning so don plan on any other mods just the tyres and want to enjoy it thanks again for the chart regards Lee
  13. well after a disaster trying to sell my vitara on ebay have got to put a range rover on hold untill I can afford to buy one but will keep looking though many thanks for all the advice so far regards Lee
  14. well possibly got me a 1990 v8 with lpg lined up and not too far away from me been greenlaned but only got standard size mud tyres on and some scratches to bodywork has had welding done to arches and usual places but gut reckons chasssis is good also it an auto which will be fine for me only problem now is got to sell the vitara currently on ebay if it dont go then the range rover wont happen cheers Lee

Geoff thankyou very much that is very helpfull i didn't realise untill you said it that there was a long wheel base range rover I have found a 200 tdi that looks pretty tidy and would be in my price range but its about 180 miles away from where i live and do not fancy travelling to it so I now realise that I have got to be patient and wait for one to come in a reasonable distance from my home if I decide to go for a v8 then just personally choice would prefer the 3.5 but i think the 200tdi would be the best option (fuel costs / range) I am still pretty new to 4x4 as a whole so all advice and info is very much appriceated regards Lee

  18. I fancy a V8 but not sure if I could afford to run one budget for starters is £700 ish if it was a v8 was thinking the 3.5 engine (erm i am assuming this is a v8) if i am right its the same engine they used in the rover sdi again correct me if i am wrong cheers lee
  19. just a quick query at present only just joined this site got a vitara that I do greenlaning with but would really like a range rover on quite a tight budget what would be the best model to go for not looking for any thing to extreme just something that would allow me to greenlane and also use as a part tme dd regards Audiman
