  1. use 1 tube and its just right, turn the drum by hand and watch it cling to everything it touches,

another thing i found it that all the bits that find themselve at the bottom get flung up in the grease then stick to the top casing so you can wipe it out easily :lol:

  2. no signs of ware tony, i prefere it cos it just sticks to everything and lubs well IMO, the cam stays well greasy

as for servicing, both mine are accessed very easy so i remove them strip, put in parts washer ect

it does mention it somewhere in the destructions that come with the service kit

  4. was up there the other week, remember it quite well as i spent 20 mins on my side in a gulley

yes there was a accident there quite recently, involving a completely std disco and a pillock behind the wheel thinking he could go down a 70 degree slope that is vertical at one point o and not to mention nearly 600ft foot long

its not to go for a day tho <_< you need camp the weekend as i didnt cover 1/3 of the sight

    o beware....make sure you have a ground anchor !! there aint no tree's ;)

and watch the drops, i dropped into a few that jumped out infront of me

what ever you do...dont go down by the house....you will be disgraced at the manner of how he is keeping his dogs :angry: i was very angry...very very infact

  5. a friend used to have some 285/75r16 cooper discoverer STT's on his disco

he didnt bother trimming his arches  he let the tyres do the modyfying for him

but he did have a 4 1/5 inch lift on it

he had them fitted to std 200tdi disco ally wheels so the offset wasnt brillaint, so he ended up fitting 30mm spacers to regain a resonable steering lock

they didnt stick that far out of the arch really 2BH

  7. ive just got to p***** off with it now, so the whole lots coming out and fresh uns going back in to wreck

when fettling under there , the noise seems to be coming from the mainshaft/input area to the lt230 box, but i cant be bothered to look, the whole lumps coming out as im running out of time with it now with competitions coming up soon

  8. I will be if I can get my winches sorted how I want them. Don't think Georgy will be as we are going through a divorce. <_<

But I've got a co-driver who is need of more experiance, so I'm set if the car's done.

Yes, of course I remember you guys.

    Rich

:o sorry to hear that rich :o , hopefully we should see you there if you get the winch's sorted,

  9. nope all replaced monday, as i say, only happens when slowing down fine from any speed until i hit 30 then it starts

wether im in neutral, in gear with clutch pressed

its only when slowing down tho

but ive noticed that just lately, when pulling away, its jerking all over the place, got to be real steady on clutch

it seems to me like theres some serious transmission winde-up, but, jack any wheel up and there is only a little weeny amount of movement when the wheel lifts off thee ground

or like its half in and out of center diff, but ive even been underneath and had a peep in through the side access cover to the center diff selector shaft, and its fully out

so im asking around now for help of other people

  10. nope

    o to add another thing

my clutch slippes like a b****** when warm, now it cant be because my ass is heavy and the 200tdi under bonnet is pumping out about 150 bhp (full width cooler, pump opend up and turbo up)

cos ive got the clutch fitted that simon used to use on his tdi's when he was a manuel

and it only just started to slip

from warm, give it a clog full 3rd 4th 5th itll slip back off rev's abit itll bite and away you go
