you need to do something that kills the signal to either the crank sensor or injectors.
i shouldnt say it but if i wanted i could start any normal td5 with my ecu's in seconds as the immo is completely wiped from mine.
so in my eyes you need to break the signal to either but do it in the engine loom somewhere.
the only problem is it takes two minutes to flirt a loom in really rough and its running again.
you would also need to keep the disruption to resistance in the loom down aswel.

twiggy....22

Think ill pop down and help marchel "if u'll have me"
no
p*** off and leave me alone
i get enough abuse without you being there adding to it
lol

could be a damaged locking collar if its an earlier locker as they were plastic
do you have the silencer fitted to the air solenoid or is it open ?
as they can block and restrict the air coming out of the system

Entry registration forms and entry forms are now working perfectly as is the Paypal bit if you want it.
No excuses now boy's'n'girls and Dan
no excuses from me just tell me when the kettle's on
infact i had the entry form in the car last friday when you decided to hurl abuse at me whilst i was stuck in traffic
t*** !

all this talking about doing it and you could of had a dedicated 24v system up and running by now.....or fitted a david bowyer turbo pack.
i personally run a dedicated 24v system on my comp truck, simple and reliable
-
scrap the question chris, just printed the form off which answered my question.
might see you later this week.

i hope you pair dont get any bright idea's for my comp no .
can i just drop my entry into you chris or does saley want it ?

Is the zuke getting a makeover?

@ mr whippy
don't take this the wrong way by any means, but you dont half talk rubbish at times.
before the mitsimog was born it was the norm to see 35" simex everywhere, which the ashcroft stuff was designed for as at the time it was the only thing really getting used.
did anyone complain about the products then like they do now ?
i think you will find no they didn't.
after the mitsimog came along events evolved, cars evolved, tyres got bigger and more agressive and engines got bigger.
this pushed the rover stuff past its limits so its hardly ashcrofts products as back in the day they did the job fine....and still do ! try using box std shaft/cv combo's and see how long they last.
if you intend on running bigger hp engines, bigger tyres and want to be competative then you simply need to look at other options,
i could see that my ashcroft axles wouldnt keep up so i swapped over to yota axles and never looked back.
at the end of the day its not the product, its just how it is now with the level of competition and the high demands at events.

@ simon
me and barry gee stripped the teeth of the crown wheel of the rear axle at a comp.
thats running a 300tdi auto
-
mog portals all the way
assuming you aint putting any form of power through them then yeh, but even a 300tdi can break a mog diff.....

G, go for the waeco
i think mine cost me around 60 quid of ebay brand new.
got them in my 90 and there brill.
its the same thing that xmoor trim sell but at the fraction of the cost !
-
i just cant comment to that one G
all i can do is laugh
-
should of gave him 69
you never know what way up he is half the time.
-
i still think you should drop the -5 points for hydrosteer
i really dont see it as an advantage over normal steering other than being abit stronger
-
im not even biting to that one twigster
-
do my factory fitted lockers exclude me from being deducted any points due to them NOT being aftermarket ?
-
theres always the power steering pipe clamps which bolt onto the chassis
-
go on, this is where you tell me its cheaper than £17 for a 500 ml aerosol !!!
on second thoughts, i actually dont want to hear it.
magnet wise, they drop off.....its mainly due to not being as careful as we should during comps which is down to my ohhh f it, it'll be ok attitude
at the end of the day there doing something they were never intended to do. i for one love the axles for how much abuse they get and they just come back for more.

ive never had ingress troubles as the breathers are raised and the actuators are all sealed
ive also sprayed the insides with a moisture spray which i guess will be similar to what you used toyroverlander ( i work in the marine industry so use alot of it )
my problem is magnets, but i always have a spare housing to drop on
-
in fairness it broke in my own ignorance as i knew the steering was stiff, so a regrind could of saved the breakage.
the rear airlocker is amazing and 100% better.
p.s. you couldnt of gave them abuse.....you had a v8
-
nick get in touch with saley he knows them inside out
or zim ( gordon )
-
the front still works a treat, it was just the back that kept giving me trouble....but when i say trouble i mean one two occasions
then it got smashed off .....

another way could be to bring all the earth points into one and have something that breaks that side up, as we all know td5's are fussy on the earth points and simply refuse to start if one
is bad.
