Are you planning on removing the gear box at the same time?
If so you will have to use a 2ton, one will just bend.
And one with adjustable legs is worth every penny!
It is more than possible with a normal engine lift and some STRONG rope around the gear housing and looped over to the single lifting point on the engine.
And yes you will have to remove half the front end then push the landy back leaving the lot hanging.
Best you always have someone in shouting distance just incase!!!!!!!

Is there a item number for the little plastic clips that hold the rubber arch in place on my 90?

If this doesnt open up a can of worms i dont know what will!
I have a 300tdi 90 and im looking for a good (GOOD!) set of tyes that i can use:
1 on the motor way
2 off road without getting stuck in 6 inch's of mud
3 dont become to loud over 60/70ish
4 in the past i have found that the high end tyres dont last long
i.e. pirrelli's i had for a hatch back only lasted 9 months due to the soft compound but they did grip like a gorrilas fist!
The tax man has just given me a rebate so its all going on the landy before she finds something to spend it on!!

The little push up things.

Do you need to reuse it?
If so either pullers or a hot oil bath.
You might be lucky and find your local hire centre will have a good set of pullers that fit.

Welding it will make no more difference than it would to any other chassis but you would really want to remove all the galv where your going to weld on first. Unless you have a death wish. Using a good dust mask and a flapper disc on a grinder will do the trick in a well ventilated place!
When it comes to protecting it after spray galv is not a touch on the real thing. However there are some good zinc paints out there.

Your going to have to either get wet or wait and use the multi meter. You will probably find its a bad connection somewhere or your not getting a earth.

Does it have an immobilizer?

You have the makings of an extreme hill climber. Strip the lot put a roll cage in, long travel shocks and I'm sure you will play with the electronics on the 4.2. Think you can squeeze around 250Bhp out of that? Ha

Must have loads in stock probably even in the right colour. I hate using them personally, mostly due to the attitude of the staff and the slightly higher than you might expect prices. However, they normally have everything, and have got me out of sticky situations in the past (e.g. MOT in 4 hrs, broken vacuum pump).
Now, no fobbing me off with a cheap ring from Argos!
Will have to give them a ring monday!!
And the harribo ring is in the post

I'm looking to fit something with a bit more lower back support and something to hold you in a bit more. I take it no one has tried to do this before?
