  1. Hey guys, Quick one: Do you run your wires to the back of your lanydy underneath or inside on the roof lip? Thanks
  2. Thanks guys. Its a 1992 200tdi. I will check the relay later Nick
  3. Can anyone help. I have sidelights and full beam but no low beam? I have checked all fuses which are good, taken steering colum apart and had a multi meter on the switch which is all working. Anybody got any suggestions? Thanks Nick
  4. I have just installed a raptor dash in my 1992 200tdi defender and am about to start moving things around but need a bit fo help please? To move the hazard switch to the centre concole can I pull the whole hazard switch wiring loom back through the instrument panel and back to the fuse board? Do all 9 wires come straight from the fuse board? If so are there any easy ways of doign this? Same goes for the fog light switch wiring? Finally when running wires into the back of the console does anyone have any advice on routing them from the battery box? Is there an easier place to make a cut in the bulkhead to run wires to or am I missing somethign obvious? Thanks Nick
  5. Wondering if you guys can help on a rather general question. I am about to install a raptor dash with some switches in it. Fog light, hazards, heated rear screen, rear works lights, 12V cig lighter sockets. I have installed a small 6 blade fuse board in the battery box which does the central locking and rear work lights at the moment (switch on the light itself) but my main question is how would you run positive wires from this fuse board to the raptor dash and then on to the the items? Do you run tend to run wires inside the cab, underneith in a conduith then drill a hole for them to come back through the bulk head etc etc? Any advice would be really useful so I dont get too much knitting! Thanks Nick
  6. I have been lookign at the La Salle and the SImmonites headlining. There is a fair chunk of difference in price so my question is has anyone had experience of the Simmonites headlining? Any Good? Thanks Nick
  7. So I have just had my pick up converted to a hard top 90 and where the bolts go on the front to the windscreen section I thought what a good idea it would be to fill this with insulation... With this beautiful summer we have got I have a few drips coming from the sunroof....not too worried about this but I then noticed water coming from the front mounting bolts. I felt my insulation and it was sodden. The seal between the roof anf the screen wasn't great so that has had some tiger seal put in it? Does anybody have any idea where water might be getting into this channel or is this a common problem and I stopped the water being able to flow out by putting the insulation in? Thanks in advance. Nick
  8. I have had my bonnet reprayed and the holes where you can mount the bonnet wheel mount bits are open. I could cover it with chequer plate but the colour is quite nice! Does anyone have any ideas about grommits or a fitting I could put in the holes instead? Thanks in advance Nick
  9. Just trying to slide them up and they are super tight. Waiting for my housemate to come home for the final push! litterally then hopefully that will be one door nearing completion and ready for retro fitting the central locking!
  10. They are windy ones. Frax, thanks for the post. Good idea to wind them up to make sure of a proper fit! Thanks also for saying check i have bought the right size.....of course I haven't and have already cut them! I will now run to the shed to check!!! What do you mean though by adjust the bottom to keep the runner tight? Thanks
  11. Just rebuilding my landy after having had it resprayed. When I took the doors aprart the window channels were bollocked and the window glass came out with them in situe. Any tips on putting the glass back in? Eg slide it into the channels then feed into the door then screw in or another way? Thanks N
  12. How do you "just" crawl away from that??!!!
  13. MUD Stuff 4x4 do one at £75.00 but its british and I like the quality of their products! I have not bought one yet but it will be on the do do list at some stage. I have been looking for a system like on Vans or old toyotas (if my memory serves me) where there is a metal bar and it locks the door open and to release you have to take the pressure off it and flick it to the runner channel. Does anyone know what I am on about? Nick
  14. So I have replaced on my 200tdi the ignition barrel with a Td5 version. I am pretty certain its wired correctly as I have live, earth, starter connection on the Multimeter. When I turn the ignition the glow plug light turns on, then goes out as it should, turn the key to the next stage and nothing! The multimeter shows that there is current on the turn. Anybody got any ideas as to what to check next? Thanks Nick
