5 inches you must be having a laugh this country gets 2 inches and the whole road network grinds to a halt
  2. about a month ago my fuel pump give up so have just been running lpg since finally fitted a new pump today. The problem now is for some reason it will only run on lpg, fuel pump is running and fuel is making it to the injecters but it just wont fire up on petrol sort of runs on the key when turning over but wont full start but if i switch it back over to lpg it starts and runs sweet. is it possible that i have ruined the injectors by running straight lpg with no fuel to cool the injectors?
  3. yeah oppostie the car park entrance if you were coming from exeter race course end it would be a hairpin left then just follow the road down the valley and the farm will be on your left. Is it on this weekend if so may come down for it.

  8. Copied across from the GLASS forum. Please help if you can. Please read the following notice from Norfolk County Council and respond ASAP! This is a fantastic lane which is extremely popular with drivers from the local area and much further afield, in an area very badly hit by NERC. There is absolutely no legitimate reason for the authority to close it, this is pure NIMBYism The only way we can stop this closure is to generate masses of objections. It dosen't matter if your local or not but if you are or if you have ever used this lane then please mention it in your response. Don't worry if your not exactly sure what to write/Email, even if you just state that you "object to the proposed closure and believe that the lane should remain open to vehicles" your response will still count. Responses must be recieved before the date stated in the notice or they will not count. The address to write/Email to is contained in the notice below (thanks to my TRF contacts for passing this on so quickly). NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (WEST ACRE, FULLERS LANE) (PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES) ORDER 2007 The Norfolk County Council propose to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor vehicle from proceeding along the U22064 Fullers Lane from its junction with the U22062 Church Green/Low Road south-eastwards to a point 20 metres north-west of its junction with the C68 Narford Road. A copy of the Order and plan, together with a statement of Council's reasons for making the Order may be inspected at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Norwich, and at the offices of the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk, King’s Court, Chapel Street, King’s Lynn, during normal office hours. Any objections and representations relating to the Order must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made. All correspondence for these proposals must be received at the office of the Department of Legal Services, Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2DH, marked for the attention of Mrs L Page, by 25th September 2007. They may also be emailed to trafficorders@norfolk.gov.uk. The officer dealing with public enquiries concerning the proposals is Mr A Freeland, telephone 01603 223982. The lane is a UCR on the list of streets (Fullers Lane U22064). The surface is a mix of sand and flint with some stone added in places, typical of this part of West Norfolk and very durable. There is absolutely no damage to this lane, that really isn't the issue (for a change). The only repairs have been at the very southern end where there is a small car park which had some stone added a couple of years ago (notice that the order exempts the last 20M of the lane to allow this car park to remain in use). The problem here is just typical NIMBYism. The number of motors using the route has probably increased (partly because of the three hundred RUPPs lost in the county) and some locals are making a fuss about it. Unfortunately green lane drivers and trail riders just aren't seen as legitimate users by most people. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  9. At the current time LRBoards are not allowing any new members to join so the press dont exploit anything that is being said, but i also read the same post on another open forum and it should'nt be there that was the idea of LRBoards closing the forum to new members.
  10. New 'restricted byways' E-petition. Please sign. Please take a few minutes to sign the 'suspend NERC' E-petition: http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Suspend-NERC/ This petition basically argues that NERC has closed half the rights of way open to recreational motor vehicle use; that, by concentrating motor vehicle use on fewer rights of way, it increases the possibility for damage and conflict with other users; many rights of way are left wrongly recorded; many historic routes have been lost. REMEMBER - the 'antis' have only achieved what they have by making more of a fuss than we did, so the governemnet thought NERC was a vote winner. Only by making ourselves heard now will we prevent something worse in the future. So, even if you have signed one of the others, please sign this E-petition.

  18. I did check when cold and in neutral and it was still very high but will check again today. The urban myth is very true i had a 92 discovery that the transfer box give out on coming down the motorway but luckly it didnt lock up just loads of noise and alot of juddering with no warning.
  19. Hi i have got a whining transfer box(which i was told about before i purchased the discovery) and was wondering how to check the oil level it is automatic transmission. I have checked the auto box oil and it was filled way over the limit so will drain down to the correct limit this afternoon, but what i want to know is do both auto box and the transfer box share there oil or are they independant if so where do i check the oil level for the transfer box.

I have thought about tweaking the mixture screw but as it runs really well on the gas im worried it might upset things and it will take me weeks to get it to run right again any help or advice would be great. P.S it's a brc system not to sure if it's multipoint or not
