Alright as a decoration to make your truck look the biz. Just don't ever go somewhere where you really need to rely on it. Seen 3 similar winches break within first 3 uses. If you want a budget winch have a look at the Goodwinch TDS which aint that mucvh more money by the time VAT is added to the Ebay one
the goowinch tds is the same winch as the champion tds i have the tds 9500 and it pulls my rangie out of any thing i water proofed the solnoid case and have had no probs in four months so sofar highly recommended and good value for money.

if you make a verbal agreement with the other person to whose liability it is it is just as binding in law as it is in writing ,but proving the agreement is another thing ,so make sure you have witnesses to your verbal contract

vosa nicked me on the m25 in a cargo recovery vehicle for no mot although dvla were taxing it as a recovery truck no mot required it cost a fortune to recover the truck and vehicle on the back just before i had to go to court it was all dropped but they still insist it requires a mot as it can carry other goods on the ramps. its the same story as bobtails even they are not surewhat is what.

Hi Kevin, unfortunately "permanent four wheel drive" doesn't actually mean that all 4 wheels will drive all of the time. If it did, you would never be able to turn a corner !!
What Lynall says is correct in that if you are in a situation where traction is likely to be a problem, then you select Difflock and that apportions drive 50:50 between the front and rear axles. The big problem is the if you get 1 wheel on each axle slipping, then you don't go anywhere.
The only non-professional 4-wheel drive car I know of that had locking diffs on the axles as well as in the centre was the Mercedes G-wagon.
You will often come across 4x4's that have a Limited Slip Diff, usually on the back axle. Usually Japonese.
you havent looked at the 6 pot diesel land cruisers too closely have you not all but most have electric lockers on one or two axles

do you believe in fairies

A collapsed flexi would only lock one brake on or perhaps the back ones but not all of them.
Steve
try when its been used and the brakes are locking releasing a bleed valve on both front calipers if there is presure there and it frees the brakes of it almost certainly the servo good luck

i think we have all done something similar like fitting new clutch just finishing off and noticed old and neww release bearing on the bench the air was blue i swore i will never drop another ricket like that but probably will

what is the difference in spacers and a more negative offset particularly on steel wheels as you will have [i think] more stress on the relatively thin steel of the wheel than on the large chunk of spacer . do you all imform your imsurers of the off set of your wheels

if you can prepare and paint using cellulose and get good results you can use 2k paint and get better results as you can take liberties with your prep for 2k if you prepare to celly stds it will look good .you dont have to base colour the whole pannel just fade your repair in as per celly then laquer complete panel , that way you can get away with colour variance . give it a go you will be supprised at the results
