  1. Top event it was nice seeing everyone smiling. Amazing what adding speed can do!!! This would be mega if you had 20+ entries as it would be constant action and very tactical as when to set off on a run. Roll on Kirton!!!!!
  2. I thought we had banished you to the colonies?
  3. You must be getting old Saley. These little running in niggles have never stopped you before?? See you there pal.
  4. Could not agree with you more. My comments were highlighting the trend in comps and challenge to use cheque book engineering to gain an advantage, which then others have to follow. XTC relies on the savvy of the human element to outperform the rest more than any bolt on to a vehicle!
  5. Having watched it all day, all I can say is wow! Does this create a new disicpline, I dont know, but what it does do is make the driver and co-driver work hard to plot their own course between the gates and find the fastest route, all at speed, on terrain that would loosen fillings! It seems to sit firmly between winch challenge and comp safari. We all know that winch challenge is very slow and comp safari has developed so much, that now it is getting more like rallying. This XTC lets one group open up and go faster, whilst allowing all the old safari vehicles out there costing less than a small house, to be competitive again. If the chaps in winch challenge who have been penalised for speeding, and all the old safari motors like the Tomcats were dusted off. The XTC would be way over subscribed and a series would be born. You lot dont know what you are missing. Roll on September!!!
  6. Firstly it is nice to see that some competitors do repair accidental damage. Cheers Si. The fact that there were obviously people around as there is a picture, does somewhat put people off cheating and I am sure if there was any cheating going on, there would be pictures telling the whole story. Plus what would Chris and Si have to gain? Sencond, marshals should never have to wear helmets even though we operate in an environment that has no roof, not to mention we are ugly enough as it is without having to squash our faces up in one of those things.
  7. Well done to Chris and Si you ended the year as you began, victorious! Well done also to Richard and Nick, a stellar performance today sealed the cat 2 series win. It made it worth the trek down! However a big thank you has to go to Niel and Carole for organising yet again as Si says 'the premier' challenge series. Not many realize how much effort you put in to keep raising the bar on this national series and you rarely get credit. So I am sure everyone will agree that you have done an amazing job this year. Thanks! Right off for a much needed shower. See you all at the dinner dance if not next March. BB...
  8. Everything will be fine. The forcast is just a mild breeze when compared to Cown!!
  9. Umm I've been called an anchor before but I really dont think it was spelt that way as I am sure it sounded like it started with a 'W'!! So if you get the boat. Does that make you Captain Pugwash???
  10. See you next year Boothy. You have to enter as who else would we get to test the depth of water!!!
  11. Yes they do own all the devopment. It's an easy way to build stores by buying the land around it. Stops any objections!
  12. Ummm, I used to be the GM at the Colney Hatch Tesco and Scorpions contract does not say anything about not being able to show prices? As for the business, whilst I feel for the staff and suppliers. Quite frankly the dwarf with clowns hair can go back to Lilliput and and take an NVQ in customer liason!
  13. Boothy, you know how apologetic I was on Sunday. Yes that particular bit was not checked as it was part of the tracks that Tong use for their play days. Combine this with the fact that during the planning visit I had spent over five hours walking and we all know I am built for that, so yes I did forget to check the depth of the puddle. However there was much less water than I am sure you all expected!!! I promise to have an especially deep puddle just for you at Slindon, even if I have to dig it myself!!
