  1. Can anyone shed light on this. Took my 300tdi 5 door for a M.O.T. Garage told me they couldnt do the test as it required a class 7 due to the weight. With this info I found a station that does class 7 but I didnt mention to them about the first station saying it was class 7, I just presumed it would be. Anyway, it passed without any problem and when I looked at the M.O.T, it says its a class 4. Surely the first garage would know whats what or was the second garage mistaken when they classed it as a test class 4 ? regards Michael
  2. Hi there, what i was also thinking was to use the diesel heater to warm up the veg oil before it enters the filter.I currently use an in line heater but I could do away with that if I ran the hot water lines to the fuel lines instead. It just takes a little planning to incorporate it but again, i am sure someone here has done it or has some pretty good ideas about it, saves the trial and error syndrome too. regards Michael
  3. Has anyone fitted a diesel water heater to a discovery? Going to buy one to save engine starting cold and to have hot air through the vents on tap. Just wondered about where to cut in on the water circuit and where to add the heater unit itself. I got a good idea where to fit and install but I am 100% sure that someone in here has a better/easier idea. regards Michael
  4. Hi There, Above answers are correct the blower motor relay is behind drivers footwell side panel, below the main relay bank. The wire on your heater switch that is the direct feed from the battery to the heater blower is the white/light green. if this still doesnt work then connect a live straight to the blower itself. the colour of wire @ the blower is white/ grey. Regards
  5. Hi Guys, never thought about the six pointer socket, as for hammering in on to loosen the rust, its in too tight a corner to get a decent hit onto it. I agree with the grease app once its back on, I grease everything before it goes on again, makes life so easy next time round. Will end up burning the head off the bolt i think but will give the other side a good smacking with a hammer ( bit of wood in between bumper and hammer of course ) lol. Thanx for the more advice, Regards Michael
  6. Can anyone help ? Needing to take back bumper off and I have located the two bolts that undo it from the chassis. Unfortunately, one of the bolts doesnt want to move and is beginning to round off. Its is not easy to work on as it is in a tight location and I was wondering if there is any obvious ideas to remove it that I am overlooking. Sprayed wd40 on it overnight and will try a little heat too and any other help would be appreciated. Regards Michael
  7. Hi Les, Thank you for the answer, if I had not been looking at the wrong engine parts on a website I would have seen that its 52mm and they are all the same size as you said. I was looking at a 3.9 Efi engine parts and not the Tdi but thank you all the same. Regards Michael
  8. Hi Everyone, Can anyone tell me the size of the core plugs on the 300Tdi directly behind the manifold and turbo. I understand there is two sizes available and was not sure which one I am looking for. Regards Michael
