I had to take mine off for the mot last week, they are clamping down on the non-road legal leds. Mind you mine were a bit blue.
-
Put in some new rear pads. It is more than likely your old pads are poor quality or just old.
-
A couple of decades of the wipers dragging grit across the screen will do that. You could go to Halfrauds and buy a product that claims to cure the problem, super heavy duty glass polish or something like that. If you want to waste a fiver it is as good as any other way.

I have a few jobs to do, repairing a bumper crack, repairing a cracked panel on my quad and I though about making a transmission tunnel for my off roader if I got a plastic welding gun. (only the last one is lr related)
-
Anyone done any plastic welding? (Not much use on a defender of course)
There seem to be kits around varying from ebay specials at £50 through to sealey at £120 then the pro models around £500.
Guessing the cheapo will be useless, has anybody used the sealey model?

Unless the drill bits are those high quality ones I normally throw the old ones out and buy new.
-
If you like off roading in the wet then keep the sealed beams and add some spot lights in the winter.
-
Nice tank, where did you get it?
-
Floor paint?
-
You could always ply line it like many vans are done.
-
Which 1st then
Is it fuel ?
is it electrical ?
Oh the joy the fun the sillyness
Is it fuel?
Nige
Aha, you asked 2 questions, that puts the count back to 18
-
Cruel....
Narrowing down the possibilities, is it fuel related? (If no it must be electrical/electronic)

Although rally cars have super quick steering, none of that 3.5 turns lock to lock.

Green stuff need a bit more heat than normal pads but not to the point where it makes the braking really poor in normal driving.
If you drive like Miss Daisy then drop some normal ones in.

Are there os maps of the falklands?
Do you want sat nav? ie road navigation or just straight line across open country?
The simplest is a handheld unit where you set waypoints or a track of where you have been.
Tell us exactly what you want do...

Do a google search for T5 carpet lining or an ebay search for van carpet lining. Proper automotive carpet glued on. If you have a look at some of the T5 van sites from the searches you can see a nice job can be done.

Is the adjustable panhard rod adjustable? If so then adjust it so the axle is in line.

There's a product called Fabsil which is used on tents, used to sell it in an outdoor shop. good stuff but don't know if it'd be recommended for a rag top.
Second that Fabsil is the stuff to use.

The two possible reasons are change of engine or that it is a ringer. Does the chassis number match the paperwork?

I am just about to plumb mine up like this, planning to put a t-piece near the caliper. Just need to work out which port does what on the master cylinder.

Firstly bear in mind that you can get a pretty good finish with a rattle can. Meaning that a spray gun does not have to be that sophisticated to give a decent finish.
I have got an earlex machine and find it much easier than my "proper" compressor and spray gun, less overspray in particular.
As for other uses for a compressor, I use a cordless impact wrench and my air gun is in a box somewhere, it really only gets used for my plasma cutter and tyres.

Ok... electrics isn't my strong point firstly...
I fitted a 200tdi into the series 3 and rewired everything so wiring wise there's nothing normal about this . The alternator's putting out 14V but the charge light stays on... weird!?
From the ignition switch the white wire goes to (among other things) one side of the charge light than the brown/yellow wire from the alternator is going to the other side of the light. Being a light bulb it shouldn't matter what side what's attached to it should it?
I'm a bit baffled cos i thought i'd started to understand electrickery
So what stupid thing have i done this time?
Cheers, Brian
Pretty sure there needs to be a diode like in this pic

I've just spent 20 minutes applying a Mum roll-on to my bead and attempting to ignite it.
.
:D :D
That's got sting a bit!!!!!!!

There are several forums out there giving good advice on car pc's. You will have to put up with swearing though!
The challenge of Defender versus say an Astra VXR is the harsh environment, bumpy, damp and lack of security.
Buy a 2nd hand toughbook and spend the rest of your money properly!!! (beer, women, big tyres, auto boxes, roll cages, the list goes on....)
Have somebody seen this at any "official" degree?

The wheels and tyres in that photoshop mock up are way out of proportion.
Other than that a good effort from the techie who did it.
