in a couple of last months land rover mags people wrote in asking if they could put a disco 300tdi engine and box in a defender and the answer was yes the gearbox just needs a couple of easy modifications doing to it is this right? anyone done it? dont know what differances there are between disco and defender r380 it is a job im going to be doing when the mot runs out on the disco im smoking at the mo (feb time) cheers in advance folks!

having fitted a 200tdi into my 110 found it made the world of difference! now looking to buy a 90 and with discos being so cheap was wondering how much differance there is in fitting a 300 instead of a 200?

who does these rear recovery points apart from scorpion racing? and how much?

the 90 is a long story started stripping it to put a v8 in and a m8 rolled his 90 so sold it to him for spares! anyway send me your address and will post it off tomoz will let you know about postage just send me a cheque/paypal whatevers easyist should only be a couple of quid(never posted anything misses deals with ebay and all that)

western you wouldnt happen to have an exploded diagram of a 110 200tdi exhaust would you? i need the rear and middle mounts plus the rubbers and heres a couple of pics of where im upto engine fitted wating for oilcooler and pas high pressure pipes to come back i have cut a section out of the wheel arch to make room for the turbo elbow just waiting for some more pipe to turn up

not keen on parting with about £120 for it! will have a look when i get the engine in if i think i am going to struggle i will have to bite the bullit!

its a 200dti disco lump and the downpipe is a 300tdi one my 110 has a 2.5nad lump in it at the mo so which down pipe would be best to fit? have bought the rest of the 200tdi exhaust and dont want to spend £120 on a custom made downpipe (too tight for that)

just got my exhaust for my tdi conversion and they sent me a downpipe which i think is a 300tdi downpipe i have read all the posts about fitting the engine and the way to do it seems to be to use a td5 downpipe now is this a disco or defender downpipe ? are they the same dont want to start chopping nice new bits of pipe up if theres a better suited downpipe! heres a pic of the pipe i was sent (i can send it back and swap it for another one no problems) cheers in advance

used to work at TVR there was never a manual but it was the same method!

relay wiring diagram first step of putting a 200tdi disco engine in my 110 was to put the disco heater plug relay in had a diagram bookmarked for a while first problem my relay has a brown instead of thin yellow black tracer no problem i thought just a differant colour next prob the white needs to go to any white in vehicle harness ok cant find a white so is it just a 12v supply or earth? anyone got anyother wiring diagrams? all help appreciated cheers Dan

heres a pic of "mater" just fitted a 2.5 nad engine in him and am more than happy! unfortunatly either mater or my 110 needs to go

dont worry not expecting a rocketship (unlike the 90 ive just seen on ebay which pulls like a train apparently) but the 2 !/4 petrol engine is getting tired and ive got a spare 2.5nad to fit when it stops being so sunny!

put my 235/85 greenway machos on now its a novelty to be able to pull away in first gear fingers crossed will be converting it to 2.5nad this week so will see what it goes like then! its allready got an overdriveso fingers crossed it wont be too bad

i am about to do the same thing but mines a 2.25 petrol to 2.5 nad think ive got most things not 100% sure about the o/s engine mounting yet! Did your 2.25 have a diesel return to tank the filter on mine has one and was wondering what to do with that?

put a set on my 90 not driven it yet (its still in a million pieces) but saw some good articulation on a post somewhere but it think he said the rears are a tad soft

anyone ever tapped a therostat housing for a fan swich need to put a fan on my s3 when i put the 2.5 nad engine in it looking at putting it in the hole ontop of the thermostat housing but need to tap it
