  1. The ecu !! been out for a little run round the block this morning seem good wants a little tweak here and there but nice, sounds awesome HAPPY DAYS
  2. I've checked continuity and both wires both side are good ! It is one of nigels and is standard.. The compression was checked just a few months ago and was all ok Nigel is sending me up a fuel rail and injectors to try Ill let you no how it goes Cheers ian
  3. why don't you just swap the wires , worth a go put pin 5 into 6 and 6 into 5 , if ours are the wrong way no spark !!

  8. none of them defo more of a weak squirt of fuel !! NO spray , so its just been flooding ? Nige that fuel rail you sent a pic of the other day are the injectors any good ya want to sell them ? Give me a call and we do a deal Cheers
  9. OK done that Nige I've got 2 pot 3 and 7 give out a little spit on priming the pump i mean as the priming stops and weep very slightly turn it over and all are squirting its not a spray , defo a jet of fuel NOT a spray Cheers ian
  10. No new one yesterday and i can adjust the pressure on my regulator up and down try all ways still nothing !! Both sides fire at cranking tho ? could it be flooding straight after cranking ?
  11. OK so I've rewired that one side still nothing ! I read about someone who had same sort of problem but for all 8 ! He was told to wire a light bulb up and stick it in injector clip should light up if there firing so i did this and yes there firing light bulb lights up Its like its just running out of fuel it fires then dies, but heres the thing after trying this a few times i checked the exhaust manifold it was warm so its firing on the first couple of rotations IM LOST REALLY ANYONE ANY IDEAS ?   12. Ive used a multimeter and got clean signal all the way ? I did think of swapping wires over from the working side but will it fire at the right time ? Thanks maybe ill try that tomorrow
  13. Can anyone help ? I've fitted my megasquirt and had it running a wile back but I've not been out in it yet since then i had a fuel pressure regulator problem just as i was going to take it for a run so back in the garage new regulator fitted …… now when i start it up its only running on 1357 I've got spark on 2468 and I've swapped injectors over from one side to the other and still the same I've also checked wiring could i have an ECU problem or has anyone come across this any help would be great as I'm at a loss with it now Many thanks Ian

OK TPS to one side what do i do next I'm using the base map I've not changed anything but heres the thing its a 3.5 block with a 3.9 top on it ( so I'm told ) Nige if you see this did you send me 2 maps to try there 2 other files on the cd i got but don't no what they are HELP MANY THANKS FOR YOUR REPLYS ANYWAY Ian

Hello all Right I'm new here , i bought my project some 8 months ago not running good no lights not much working to be far, after some time i worked on the wiring and the engine and got most things working not to bad for a bricky I found out about megasquirt looking around the net and decided this was the way to go , I then got hold of Nigel who slowly convinced me this was the way to go OK ripped all the old out and fitted it , some long nights and many moments of ( I CARNT DO THIS ) But little by little its done Now for the big one will it run FIRST TIME RUNNER Tickover not bad , seemed abit flat but not bad then i had a misfire witch got worse , Ordered new HT leads from Nige and all was well , so taped up the loom put everything back and fired it up again , My tick over now is shocking but runs well over 2000rpm I've disconnected the PWM and I've got tick over a little better , I've also calibrated TPS but don't seem to be able to save this to ECU I don't like to pester Nigel he's been great , it seem like I'm not running on all 8 when it drops below 1500rpm its all over the place but get it up to 2000 and above its running good DONT NO HOW TO DO THE SOFTWARE THING , DONT NO WERE TO START , Ive read through stuff here but i just don't no IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE WHO CAN HELP AND PLEASE , I LAY BRICKS FOR A LIVING GO EASY ON ME COMPUTERS ARE NOT MY THING MANY MANY THANKS
  16. Hi there new here just having a look as to whats what got no rev counter to The IDM you say is that the one witch was a spear .I did try the w on the alternator but like you say it reads double CHEERS
