  1. Remove old arches,

    Find centre hole,

Drill hole half way along new arch about 5-6mm inboard from raised edging bit,

Attach to truck with m6 nut bolt and washers supplied through centre hole identified previously,

Mark position of other holes using chalk or similar by offereing up new arch to wing,

Drill holes coresponding to chalk marks 5-6mm inboard from raised edging bit,

Attach to truck using m6 nuts, bolts and washers supplied,

Trim ends to correct shape length,

    Step back and admire.

    Hope this helps.

  2. Cheers Guys.

    Randonee - no 'kin idea

    ETC - Electronic Traction Control

Those were the only ones i think i know.

Randonee - from the SCOR website - kind of greenlanes/treasurehunt thing with roadbooks i believe.

ETC - et cetera, a Latin expression meaning "and other things" or "and so on":lol:

  3. What are all the different types of competition that one might find on the AWDC etc sites?

    For example:-

    - Biggin Quarry, DE6 1QU, Derbeyshire (Promotional Event, SVT, Tyro Trial)

    What are promotional events?

    Tyro Trial?

    Modified Trial?

    SVT?

    RTV?

    AVT?

    Safari?

    Comp Safari (same?)?

    Randonee ?

Challenge (winch i assume, are there others?)

    ETC?

    Thanks in advance.

  4. I have one in the front of the 110. It's pretty good but you do need some load on both sides in order to get it to lock up. I.E if you have a wheel waving in the air it won't do anything (you can try using a little left foot braking which seems to help but I managed to snap a halfshaft trying this trick)

The handling became a bit exciting after it was fitted but i think this is more due to the Detroit in the rear. Bang it in mind, - you might as well!

  5. Anyone know if the mountings for a 110 2.5N/a exhaust are in the same place as a 200tdi 110?

Has anyone fitted a 200tdi system to a 110 with a disco 200tdi conversion? I apreciate that the front pipe will be different but i think that I can mod the 200tdi downpipe to fit onto the Steve Parker downpipe I already have but I'm not sure if the hangers will line up. If anyone with EPC could get me the pictures of both systems I would be eternally in your debt...

  6. I have the same problem. The needle sits at the end of the white bit/middle of the black bit. It's always been the same since I fitted the 200tdi. Since i fitted the 35s it seemed a bit higher so i replaced the rad, thermostat (with the standard disco 88deg), water pump, and replaced the 2.5D sender (which seems to fit the 200tdi fine) with a Steve Parker sender.

The temperature indicated on the clock seems to rise if i put the lights or overide the electric fan on so i guess there might be a connected earth fault with the dash cluster but i haven't had time to look at that. I don't have a viscous fan but the X-fan switch in the bottom hose rarely ever switches the fan on.

I don't think the head gasket is gone as it doesn't continualy rise and having the gas in the header sniffed with the blue liquid says no exhaust in the coolant. Any more ideas?

  7. I had some tyres fitted at ATS on the misses car that I bought off the net & they charged me £10 per tyre so I based the cost of fitting the creepys at that.

ATS will probably charge more I would imagine as I doubt they'll fit on the fitting machine. I'd try an independant firm who does tractor/truck and industrial they'd probably do it for beer tokens. Mine are not ballanced at all and they're not too bad. If the firm you use has a Rema Tip Top account get them to stuff a 6oz bag of 'Equal' dynamic ballancing powder in them. Equal has been around in the trucking industry for years, long before the 4x4 world cottoned on to balancing beads/granules. I've heard some good reports. I've not got it in mine yet but there's a fair discussion here:-

  8. Condensation in the turbo/exhaust as it's not hot enough when it's idling which is then vaporised when you give it some stick? Or some incomplete combustion of fuel in the bores which the burns off when you set off again. You'd expect white smoke if there is insufficient fuel for the air provided so i don't think that works either.

    A mystery to be sure.
