good morning, ive had my gkn for about 100k so far, yes , had to totally strip it down a few times and clean it and replace some bits, now also looking for a speed sensor and maybe a clutch, it had a hard drive to malaga with 4.5 ton on the back, been ok though the last 18 months and then it started to slip the other day, but when i carried on using it, it stopped slipping, weird, but my lights flashing like a good un, if i go below 50 it cuts off, so im guessing now the speed sensor has given up, i also looked at the roamer drive a few years back and read that the use of inferior parts they have been unreliable too...why change something when it works.

ive been also running a gkn for the last over 8 years, so I'm hitting about 100k so far, had a few little issues, but totally stripped down rebuilt, found a broken thrush bearing,. and now its not working, got stuck on , then stripped again, changed the spring position and now wont engage, would the speed sensor cause that ..??

i know there are many posts on this, i have printed them out, now 1 thing baffles me, i have fitted the rear fine, how do you do the front, on mine 2001 110 TR you have to push the button to lock the car, so i saw u connect the central locking kit to the bar , but it don't work, as u need to push the button or open the door inside, how do i get around this..im confused .com also its not as rusty as i thought, can u repair the doors at all, i have covered in wd40 now and left without any inserts as need to fit my central locking and new locks. thank you my first post rob
