Land Rover series 2a Military

I have Land Rover series 2a military 88".I did full restoration .

My question is , the front two wings have two small holes in the sides.I could not find out what are they for.From net photos, i found they have like small dark bulb but i could not confirm this.

I attached picture of it.make it large. arrow pointing to it.

They are rubber buffers that prevent damage to the door and wing when the door is fully opened - those old style door hinges allowed the door to open 180 degrees, unlike the SIII and Defender hinges.
