Peterla
I have just pulled down my steering box to fit a new seal kit to it. Unfortunatly I found my selector sharft lower bearings damaged. Not sure how this has occoured but it is probably why my shaft is leaking excessivly. Has anyone attempted to replcae these bearing? A second hand box is very expensive here in Australia. Les Henson
I should imagine that if you can get the bits for the steering box, then it's possible to re-build it yourself, dependant on your ability to do it and any special tools required. Are there no companies that will recondition it for you? Might be cheaper than buying a new one. Les.
