hurbie Posted September 21, 2019 Share Posted September 21, 2019 hello all , i'm looking for some explanation about a LT77 gearboxnumber , the "normal" numbering is something like : 50a000999D but i have a ex mod 110 with a number that's like : 50ARB55934 then i have a scrap ex french 110 with a ,acording to the data plate "original Landrover exchange gearbox" and this also has the 50ARB number . the 50ARB..... number is stamped over the original gearboxnumber is this numbering just a sequence used bij landrover to identifie a factory rebuilt ? if so , how do you know what suffic letter the box is ?
