renault4
I’m in the middle of rebuilding a disco 200Tdi ti fit into my 110. When ordering some parts from turners I came across camshaft retaining plate locking washers (part number 2995) as they were only a couple of quid, I bought some but I don’t recall seeing them on the strip down and although they are everywhere on the inter web, I can’t find where they go or what they do, does anyone know anything about these? western
These https://www.turnerengineering.co.uk/2995-washer-lock-camshaft-retaining-plate-c2x24477501 nothing like that on my 200Tdi when I did the rebuild, the cam retainer has 2 bolts with spring washers. 2995 fits here on pre 200Tdi engines only. item 12 page 97 http://www.retroanaconda.com/landrover/parts_books/110/2_engine_25P_25D_25TD_p17-167.pdf no idea why its behind the cam timing gear. 200Tdi doesn't use it page 190 http://www.retroanaconda.com/landrover/parts_books/110/3_engine_200TDI_300TDI_V8_p168-299.pdf
renault4
Yes it’s strange isn’t it, I don’t recall removing them during stripdown and it’s not obvious what function they serve. I’ll have to give turners a ring on monday
