johandt Posted August 30, 2023 Share Posted August 30, 2023 Hi all.Just got my 1st freelander 2, but I get an error when I start it up and switch to reverse."Parking aid alertCameras unavailable.Please contact your dealer"The PDC also flashes.The thing is, it doesn't have a camera and it doesn't seems like it had one...Also, the radio switches off and on after about 20 seconds when it was in reverse.I have an OBD ELM 327 Bluetooth reader, but it doesn't produce any codes..Any ideas?I did manage to get into the secret menu, by holding the valet button for 20-30 seconds, and taking some pics. elbekko Posted August 31, 2023 Share Posted August 31, 2023 Maybe someone swapped in an infotainment module from a car with the backup camera, and didn't reconfigure it? johandt Posted September 1, 2023 Author Share Posted September 1, 2023 (edited) Haven't thought of that yet! But in the secret menu's it shows the reverse camera's as being off. But it's a good idea to check anyway. I am thinking of getting a mongoose cable and SSD software for this? Should I be able to do it through there? Could a faulty PDC sensor cause this as well?
