madmatt Posted February 15, 2007 Share Posted February 15, 2007 Oh yeah - after the first mile or so pull over and re-check all your straps, a car bouncing about can put a lot more tension on them than you can and you'll usually find (unless you're very good / very lucky) that they will take a bit of extra tightening. another point on strapping, strap the wheels and the baody if possible. otherwise car bounces on suspension Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest WALFY Posted February 15, 2007 Share Posted February 15, 2007 Your insurance may well cover your car for towing it almost certainly will not cover damage to the trailer or load. When I used to have a big 5 berth caravan, I was insured with the NFU. They would cover all damage to prime mover, trailler and load as long as it was still attached.
