Half Pint
If squatters are in occupation, the easiest way to reoccupy is to get in while they're out. However, experienced squatters get round this by always leaving someone in the house. I would consult a solicitor. Sounds like a rough part of town tbh. Nobody's taken up residence and the door with the new lock is barricaded and the lock jammed. It's quite obvious to anyone watching that the house is under surveillence. It's not a rough part of town, most of the residents are students and white/blue collar workers. There's just one bloke who is a nuiscance with all the noise my his compressor makes. Chatting to another guy who's building a couple of houses in the next street - he had a gas meter knicked from one of them!
rtbarton
Intrigued to know what they were upto, whoever it was. It's weird - if it was a common modus operandi then I would have thought the police would have recognised it as such, but the officer who called described it as "bizarre."
