What is more important is reputation for longer term reliability and troublefreeness. In this regard the comparison is chalk and cheese. In Australia the Nissan has an enviable reputation for being the most capable, reliable and mechanically bulletproof vehicle available, with high owner satisfaction. As the evolution continues the Nissan gets stronger. Aside from a handfull of masochistic private enthusiasts nobody over here really rates the Pretender at all, and due to the very poor reputation for reliability, troublefreeness and user satisfaction that previous models have gained over the years I doubt too many will be willing to take a risk on the 07 models, no matter how good it is claimed to be.
