Adam
Anyone have any anecdotal or otherwise info as to if or why the TDV6 engine suffers from internal coolant leakage, characterised by the 'low coolant level' message and the coolant disappearing? (And presumably the engine getting coolant either in its exhaust or the sump...)??? No sign of water in the oil but its off to be furtled nonetheless. BogMonster
Don't know but it sounds familiar from previous models in years gone by.... There's a lot to be said for a 300Tdi, if you're building an engine out of pig iron, stone and wood it's hard to get it wrong
Adam
Well, turned out its: Weak anti-freeze mixture causing the coolant sensor to mis-read. Sounds like a bit of a con-story but we'll see how it goes with the cooland / antifreeze at the right qty now...

Weak anti-freeze mixture? Probably the first thing that came into their head when they opened the bonnet and did know what to do next more like.
